Tools I wanted for my own work, then kept going with. Some are finished, some are not, and I am reasonably honest about which is which.

• ABexis

  A/B testing rendered at the edge rather than in the browser. Client-side testing tools inject an anti-flicker snippet that blocks rendering; that is a mechanism problem, not a vendor problem, so the fix has to be architectural. Running real tests before it opens up properly.

• Directors Draw

  What a UK company director actually takes home once salary, dividends, corporation tax and pension contributions have all argued with each other. Built because I got tired of doing it in a spreadsheet.

  Writing about conversion rate optimisation where you can toggle between the variants on the page rather than look at screenshots of them.

• Staffalytic

  Cookieless, first-party analytics aimed specifically at student and rental housing operators — the metrics that matter there are not the ones a general analytics tool puts in front of you. In progress.

  A link shortener on Cloudflare Workers. Unglamorous, and I use it every day.
